[Discussion] Alain Badiou, The Three Negations

In March 2018, a group of five persons discussed Alain Badiou’s text “The Three Negations” in the law faculty building of the Humboldt University in Berlin. The discussion lasted about two and a half hours.

The text represents Badiou’s keynote to the conference “Law and Event” that was held on 11-12 November 2007 at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York. The Conference dealt with the major topics of Badiou’s work in relation to law, ethics, and politics. The “The Three Negations” was later published in the Cardozo Law Review (Vol.  29: 5 2008).
